. this comes at a very touchy time for the oakland police department. >> reporter: it does indeed. jessica, this is being called the largest disciplinary action in oakland police department history. this all stems from the occupy oakland unrest at 14th and broadway on october 25th of last year. according to reports there are recommendations that two officers be fired and 44 officers be disciplined for various things including excessive force. police chief howard jordan confirmed that one of his officers did fire the bean bag that injured iraq war veteran scott olson. he would not say if he is recommending that that officer be fired. meanwhile, reaction from the report was swift. >> what i wanted, i wanted the oakland police to be able to look at itself and discipline itself because everyone knows i was not happy on the day after october 25th. >> this report is indicative of what's wrong here in oakland. the report focuses on persecuting police officers and it shows the city has absolutely no interest in actually prosecuting criminals. >> reporter: we did reach out to scott olson tonight. h

on this investigation. miguel, good morning. >> good morning to you. >> reporter: the search for jessica ridgeway began fifth day and police have no suspects or persons of interest but over the weekend they did find owner backpack what could become an important piece of forensic evidence. more than a hundred members of law enforcement are searching for jessica ridgeway. on sunday, jessica's backpack was found about six miles from the missing 10-year-old's house. it's now being examined by the colorado bureau of investigation. >> they are analyzing that, along with some dna samples that we took from the family. >> reporter: police say the fifth grader was last seen while walking to school friday morning. >> we do have some witness information that really makes us believe at 8:30 she was on her way to school and she did not make it. >> reporter: jessica's school ask about a third of a mile from her home. police say her mother, who works overnight was home sleeping when the school left a message to say that jessica had not arrived on campus. jessica's mother reported her missing when she woke up, eight ho
